The Guild
The Cardinal Cooke Guild is composed of volunteers and members who are
working on the promotion of the Cause for Canonization of Terence
Cardinal Cooke, Servant of God.
In 1984 Cardinal John Joseph O'Connor asked Sister M. Aloysius McBride,
O.Carm. to coordinate an effort to bring together those who believe in
the sanctity of Cardinal Cooke. Sister Aloysius reached out to men and
women in the United States and throughout the world to foster a devotion
t this holy and saintly man.
Today the Guild has chapters in Europe and Asia, and members from every
corner of the world. The Guild relies solely on the help of volunteers.
Our office is never idle! We make certain that the life and works of
Terence Cardinal Cooke continue to be known. Special events (eg. Days of
Recollection), publications, membership, archival preservation and
quarterly newsletter (learn more) are coordinated in our small office at
The Terence Cardinal Cooke Building in New York City. Most importantly,
the Guild pauses each day to pray for all our members and to remember
the special requests that are recorded in our Petition Book (learn
more).
We invite you to become a member of The Cardinal Cooke Guild (learn
more), to become a volunteer (learn more), to become a partner in prayer
(learn more), record favors received (click here).
We, the volunteers and members of the Guild, hope that you will join us
in this wonderful effort to spread the good news about the life of
Cardinal Cooke:
A life of Faith, Hope, and Charity
A life of Heroic Virtue
An Example for us all
